Aeroquip FBM3414 Internal Support Coils Review

Very robust coil to support -16 hose used in suction applications. Other makes of coil (Earl's for instance) are round wire and not nearly as sturdy, plus the round wire disrupts flow a bit. This AQP coil is flat wound metal and very resistant to collapse. No way this oil supply hose will have any problems with my dry sump system.

I chose this model mainly for the looks, but am very happy with the performance. They were very easy to install and the vents let a lot of air flow through, which is very welcome in hot weather. I low-sided hard on a concrete road and the right-side hand guard took most of the impact, preventing any damage to the handlebar and brake lever, and keeping the bike high enough off the ground that the gas tank didn't get a scratch on it. The hand guard plastic got scuffed but the aluminum bar inside of it didn't bend at all. Highly recommended.
