Fuel pump problems are no fun- in the old days you just put a new mechanical pump on the side of the engine. Nowdays it is a real pain, and I have heard a lot of bad things about some of the pumps you can buy at the local discount car part place- that they fail prematurely and are noisy to boot. My 1991 Saturn had an original Bosch unit and I did not want to spend $500 on the part for a car this old. So, I looked around and found this one. Glory be, your mileage may vary but what I received was a Walbro brand pump. This is a high quality item that is often used in high performance cars and is noted to be quite durable. Included were the pieces to make it fit my pump housing, including the rubber mount for the pump, the old one fell apart when I took it apart. One can hear the pump when it is initially turned on with the key, but then it is silent and cannot be heard in operation. I am thrilled at this pump at the price I paid. Be sure to replace your filter also and clean the tank of any debris. If the gasket beneath the pump is deteriorated at all buy a new one, or else you will not get a good seal- this gasket is not included, even when buying a new pump you may have to purchase this separately if needed. Several months on it still works silently, just like the day I installed it. That is, a very good thing!
