I bought this helmet during a colder than normal summer here in Alaska. After putting about 2000 miles on the bike with this lid on my head, here's what I know:

Pros:
Cost - I honestly was surprised by the quality based on the price I paid. I had heard other reviews that stated the same, but it's still nice to see. Could it be better? Absolutely.

Ventilation - If you need air movement, this is the helmet. I had to make some clothing adjustments due to the colder weather last summer, but always appreciated the phenomenal air flow when things got warmer.

Water resistant - I rode with this helmet in some nasty weather, at highway speeds behind big trucks, everywhere, and not once did I get wet. With vents right up high and up front, I have no idea how this happens, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Cons:
Chin Strap Keeper - there is none. It's not a major pain to tuck the strap into itself, but I'd also be willing to pay $10 more for a helmet that had a keeper.

Face shield detents - There are two settings. "Annoying" and "Open". The first detent puts the bottom of the visor right at eye level, which means it's only good for looking at your front wheel. You can finesse the visor to stay cracked open, but not at speed.

Noise - Good ventilation will mean noise, and this helmet carries it in spades. I don't ride without earplugs (or headphones...shhhh) anyway, so this didn't bother me too much, but I tend to think this would make a bike intercom system less effective due to the wind noise.

Overall, I'll look at another AFX before I buy a different brand. For the cost, the amount of helmet you get is impressive.
