This tachometer looks very sharp and responds very well to engine acceleration.My only gripe is that the needle vibrates at idle, varying between 700-900 RPM.
A digital tachometer reading indicates a steady 750 RPM, so I want to believe that it is a shortcoming of the gauge, but I cannot be 100% sure without installing another analog tachometer to compare.
At all positions other than idle, the needle is very smooth and steady.
Conclusion- Even with the "idle needle vibration", I would still recommend this gauge as it responds well at all other RPM positions, and is very worth the price.
Perhaps other reviewers can let us know if they have the "idle needle vibration" also......
