E3518M Fuel Pump Module Assembly with Pressure Sensor for... Review

Part arrived on time. Fuel Pump was packaged in an attractive box and appeared to be a new product. Overall dimensional height was approx 7/16" shorter than OEM. It came with the fuel sending unit attached. Fuel Pump assembly was placed in vehicle. Fuel pump seemed to work fine . . . however, the fuel sending unit and Cadillac's PCM didn't get along. Fuel level indicators showed a "full" tank thru the first 200 miles and then dropped erratically to empty. The only times it was correct was at full and empty! Might not be a problem for some, but I'm the anal type and needed it to read accurately. I notified the sender immediately. Their first representative told me that the fuel sending unit had nothing to do with the fuel pump assembly I had purchased (!?!?!?!). Amazon told me to file a dispute. Almost immediately the vendor got back with me and authorized a return for refund. I repackaged the part in the original package and returned it to the vendor intact. Within 24 hours of the vendor's receipt my charge account was refunded the purchase price along with the original shipping fee. So, I was out the return shipping fee, the labor of installing their OEM replacement product and the additional labor of installing the correct fuel pump assembly. I am just happy that I did the installation myself and did not have to pay a 3rd party for this labor. I give this vendor a high rating overall. I know that they do not do the production and I am assuming they buy from an off shore manufacturing plant. For the service they did provide and the acceptance of their responsibility of their part of this transaction, I would use this vendor again if the need arises.
